What to do on a day of death of a loved one,lo al af echad:
-saying KADDISH (only men can say Kaddish) ...
-reading mishnayot on behalf of a deseased elevated his or her neshama . It's done according to the letters of the name of the deceased...
-lighting a 24 hour candle (to elivate his/her soul)leilui nishmat [first (and middle name] ben(bat) [father's first (and middle) name]
-giving tzedaka (donation (preferably to a Torah Institution)) on behalf of a deceased

Bizchut the Torah that is learned in his name and the Mitzvot performed, may his Neshama have an Aliyah to the Heights of the Heavens and may he have tremendous nachat from his family.
